These incense sticks are traditionally made from incense resin, bamboo charcoal, and natural aromatic essences. The incense, sourced from Awaji Island (Hyogo), is combined with the other ingredients in the Kyoto workshops of Kohchosai Kosuga, a house specializing in the art of bamboo for five generations.
Japanese bamboo charcoal helps purify the air and reduces smoke emissions during burning. Incense itself is widely recognized in Japan for its many aromatherapeutic benefits: it helps calm the mind, promotes better sleep, reduces stress and anxiety, improves concentration, and relieves pain.
Available in six different fragrances: pine, bamboo, sandalwood, cherry blossom, rose, or plum.

Use and Care:
Place an incense stick on an incense holder.
Light the incense with an open flame until a light smoke appears.
If the flame does not go out on its own, gently blow on it to extinguish the flame while keeping the ember glowing.
Precautions for Use:
Avoid placing flammable objects nearby.
Do not place anything flammable beneath the incense; use a metal tray or holder.
Never leave burning incense unattended.
Avoid getting the incense stick wet.
